Practical Guide · 3 min read1. Use a service-specific list
A general list is a starting point only. Materials differ by puja, ritual tradition and the number of participants. Ask for the final quantities before shopping.
2. Discuss common material groups
Flowers, fruit, rice, lamps, incense and vessels may form part of the list. Havan materials are relevant only when a fire ceremony is included. Follow the pandit’s instructions for your chosen service.
3. Separate included and self-arranged items
Mark each item as arranged by the team or by your family. Ask about substitutions and fresh items that should be purchased closer to the day.
4. Check delivery and setup
Confirm whether materials can be delivered to your address or will arrive with the pandit. Any charges should be agreed in advance.
Ritual requirements vary by tradition. Confirm the details with your pandit or consultant before making arrangements.
